• Account information: your phone number, which is used to sign you in via a one-time SMS code, and the authentication tokens that keep you signed in. If you sign in with email, we collect your email address instead.
• Profile information: name, age, gender, height, and weight, provided during onboarding and editable in Settings. These are used to estimate your calorie goal.
• Logging data: meals you log (name, calories, macros, meal type, timestamp), custom dishes you add yourself, weight entries, and commitment/habit selections and history.
• Health & fitness data (optional): only if you connect Apple Health or Health Connect — see the section below.
• Connections (Munchies): if you invite or accept a friend, we store that connection so you can share a read-only view of your progress. See "Sharing with Munchies" below.
• Notifications: if you enable reminders or nudges, we store a device push token so we can deliver notifications to your device.
• Device information for widgets: the minimum data needed to display your remaining calories and current meal on your home or lock screen.

Connecting Apple Health (iOS) or Health Connect (Android) is entirely optional and off until you turn it on. When connected, and only with your permission:

• We read your weight, steps/active energy, sleep, and hydration to auto-fill your weigh-ins and automatically complete matching daily commitments.
• We write the meals and weigh-ins you log — calories, macros (protein, carbs, fat), and weight — back to Apple Health / Health Connect so your data stays in sync.

Health data is used only to power these in-app features. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell it or share it with third parties. You can revoke access at any time in your device's Apple Health or Health Connect settings, and turn the connection off in Munch's Settings.

We use your information to operate the app's core features — calorie and weight tracking, progress charts, commitments, reminders, Munchies, and widgets — and to maintain and improve the service. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

If you connect with a friend ("Munchie"), they can see a read-only summary of your week — such as your daily calories against your goal and your commitment progress. You choose who to connect with, and either person can remove the connection at any time. We don't otherwise share your data with other users.

Dishes you add yourself (when a food isn't in our library) are stored separately from the shared food catalog and are never shared with or shown to other users.

We use Google Firebase (authentication, database, cloud functions, and messaging) to run the service. Your data is processed by these providers on our behalf, under their security and privacy commitments, solely to operate Munch.

Your data is stored with our cloud infrastructure provider using industry-standard security practices, including encryption in transit. Access is limited to what's needed to operate the service.

You can edit or delete your profile, meal logs, weight entries, and commitments at any time from within the app. To request full account and data deletion, contact us at support@gluecode.in and we will delete your account and associated data.

Munch is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
